After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Istanbul's old city, exploring the Byzantine and Ottoman ruins, visiting the Hagia Sophia Museum, built by Constantine the Great in the 4th century and rebuilt by Justinian. The 6th century is one of the architectural wonders of all time. Then you will visit the unique Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Mosque), built in the 16th century, with its 6 minarets and magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. The ancient Hippodrome was the scene of chariot races and contains three monuments: the Theodosius obelisk, the bronze serpentine column and the German II. Wilhelm fountain.
Before lunch, visit the Grand Bazaar, one of the oldest and largest bazaars in the world, with over 4,000 shops selling souvenirs, rugs and rugs, jewellery, pottery, leather and just about anything else. Visit the Royal Topkapi Palace, the grand palace of the Ottoman Sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries. Finally, the Süleymaniye Mosque will be visited. The Little Hagia Sophia Mosque is known as one of the oldest surviving churches in Istanbul dating from the 6th century. It is the early domed - basilica architectural plan of the famous Hagia Sophia, which was applied here for the first time in history. The temple was founded by the powerful emperor Justinian, whose reign was the golden age of the Roman Empire, and has been used as a mosque since 1497. After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the meeting point. We will first proceed along the Byzantine City Walls surrounding the Old City. Then we will reach the Golden Horn, which divides the European side into two. There are Turkish delight, apple tea, turkish tea etc. We will stop at the Spice Bazaar, which is also a small version of the Grand Bazaar.
We will get on the boat and start the Bosphorus Cruise until the second bridge. You will see Rumeli Fortress, Dolmabahce Palace and many more houses and palaces on the European and Asian Sides of Istanbul as you cruise along the Bosphorus. After the boat trip, we return to the port and go to a restaurant for lunch.
After lunch, we take the bus and cross the Bosphorus Bridge to the Anatolian Side. We will go to Camlica Hill, the highest point of Istanbul. You will see the most beautiful view of the city on this hill. After the tour, departure to Istanbul Airport for a domestic flight to Cappadocia. Transfer from the airport and check-in to your hotel in Cappadocia. Overnight in Cappadocia.
You will be picked up from your hotel around 09:30 in the morning to join our tour. The tour starts with Uçhisar Castle, the highest point of Cappadocia. After Uçhisar, we visit Göreme Open Air Museum, the heart of Cappadocia. Göreme Open Air Museum is famous for its 10th century frescoes depicting the life of Jesus Christ and his apostles. We will go to the restaurant in Avanos for lunch.
After lunch we will visit a pottery workshop to see pottery making. Then we will pass to Pasabagi where we can see the three-headed fairy chimneys. After Pasabagi, we will visit another workshop to see the hand-woven carpets and kilims of Cappadocia.
The next stop will be Devrent Valley, also called Imagination Valley, where you can see animal-like natural rock formations and different symbols. The tour will end at approximately 17:00 and you will be transferred to the airport for the Istanbul. Hope to see you again on our other tours.
